My Story
Jump back over 50 years ago, and you will know the beginning of my journey with horses. A palomino Shetland pony named "Penny" was how it all began. I was a child happy hacker-rider. My sisters also had ponies or horses. I purchased my first horse with my own money in my teens. I did some showing and the farm name "Touch of Maple" came from one of my show horses. This was his Jockey Club name and it has become the name of our farm, founded in 1993.

I then became immersed in "natural horsemanship", which entails much more than riding. The "natural horsemanship" movement is becoming very intense now which is a very good thing!
Horses have been used and abused for centuries by the human race. Times are changing though, and we must now recognize that horses are sentient beings and that they deserve our respect. If we listen to them and honour them, they are willing to talk to us and help us in the most amazing ways!

That's why I have chosen to WORK or PARTNER with the horse on this very amazing journey! Sharing the journey with others is the reason for my tag line: "HORSES REACHING PEOPLE" . I want to share my horse's beautiful connection with us to help you improve your life!
